WHERE THE 1% GOES
We were very affected by the events surrounding Hurricane Katrina , both from a humanitarian and an environmental point
of view. This led us to Global Green USA, an organization calling out to environmental, community development, urban
organizations and others to join together to offer expertise, support, and resources to the leaders and citizens of
New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. So this is where the 1% of Jimi™ sales revenue for 2005 is being directed.
Founded by President Gorbachev to create a new approach to solving the world’s most pressing environmental challenges,
Global Green is currently mobilizing its Healthy Homes, Smart Neighborhoods Response Team to accomplish the following
goals on the Gulf Coast:
1. Helping to build 10,000 Green Affordable Homes through partnerships with the National Council of Churches, the Healthy
Building Network, the Enterprise Foundation and Habitat for Humanity
2. Rebuilding 2-4 Model Green Schools
Healthy green schools will make students more productive, healthier and cost less money to operate.
3. Creating a Green Building Resource and Design Center
The center would serve as a focal point for the rebuilding community and provide those involved in the reconstruction the
knowledge and understanding to utilize healthy, green building products .
